The Royal Easter Show

The whole Easter weekend was a bit on the rainy side ... helping our lawn to even greater heights (we finally got it cut this weekend and it looks very sad now with it's new super short haircut!) but Easter Monday the rain held off all day which was handy for Paul, Laura, Troy, Bizzers and I as we headed off to see the 'smelly' animals at the Easter Show!

All packed up and waiting for the train... not the most exciting part of the day but there's always someone who still wants to take photos!
Hey can I get some help with this strap? It still feels a tiny bit loose!
And once we arrived there were more queues ... this time for the animal nursery - cleverly hidden in a big tent so noone would know what they were queuing for an hour for until they got inside!
Hang on, hold it Dad I think I see something ... !
Yep it's a speedy little pig .... wee wee wee!
I dunno Mum these are the weirdest dogs I've ever seen, are you sure they don't bite?! Back outside in the fresh air ... although I think I still smell something ...
Yessiree Horses ... still a bit crowded round here though maybe it's time to go do something different, like ...
Rides!! I have to admit for once I didn't really mind too much the 'ridiculous restrictions' they place on pregnant women!

In the end we settled on something a little less 'thrilling' for Bell ... although by that time she seemed much more interested in the idea of lunch than anything else!

'Yes, I know that's Dad with the camera but he doesn't look anything like a vegemite sandwich!'
'Lemme off, you can't fool me Mum! This thing is just going 'round in circles I'm still not getting any closer to all that food!'
Lunch safely in our tummies and a better mood all-round and we're back to the animals ... this time some really BIG cows!!
Bell's Cow 'licky' impression!
And some really, REALLY BIG horses!
(Hey Wilson's: we bumped into Iian video taping this very same Clydesdale ... so looks like he's still in the motion picture business!)
'Don'twannasleepdon'twannasleep but sooooooooooo tired!'

Happily the arrival of 'nap time' meant we all got to head home for a bit of a 'sit down'! ... surprisingly farm animals, hot chips, carousels and showbags might be fun but at the end of a long, long weekend they're also very tiring!
