I have to admit the summer passed all too quickly for us. It's become a bit of a blur of hot,
humid days and nasty morning sickness (or in Paul's case listening to complaints about 'nasty morning sickness'!). Yes! For those who aren't yet in the know we're expecting another little Smithy sometime around the first week in September! And while the nausea isn't nearly as bad as it was, I'm still feeling a bit queasy in the mornings, which somehow doesn't seem right since I'll be 18 weeks this Thursday and with Bizzers it stopped around 12 weeks! Still, as knowledgeable midwives and friends remind me 'every bub is differant'!!
We did take a couple of snaps over Summer tho ... mainly of the all consuming thing on our mind - the weather!!
Too hot to play! Bell has some quiet, shady time with dolly.

'Helping' Mum tidy up the mess which mysteriously appeared on the kitchen floor!

Cooling down with a nice juicy slice of pear ... mm mmm!

Well one good thing about this humidity - it sure brings the curls out!

It was a VERY hot Summer!!

Another good thing about the heat and lack of rain ... the lawn didn't need trimming very often!

Peek-a-boo!

Mmmm a strange light in the sky ...

Could it be ...?

YES!
RAIN!!

Wow! We forgot what happens when it rains!
So did our lawn mower! Which couldn't take the sudden shock of being called into action and broke! So this grass is now tall enough to hide Isobel! Or would be if she were unwise enough to venture into the backyard, something she has no intention of doing until some serious lawn taming has taken place!

But that's ok, Bell's recently discovered a whole new range of exciting indoor activities, like ... dishwashing!!

O, oh Mum, I think this chair might be a bit wobbly not to mention - damp!

Hey, are you just going to stand there taking photos or are you going to lend a hand?!
