Joseph's first BIG days!

Joseph made it into the world after a surprisingly short labour (I think we arrived at the hospital about 6ish and he made his first big lungsey cry at 10!) happily we managed to avoid the ceaser this time round and also to my horror any decent painkillers (I wasn't being the least bit brave, I just failed to heed wise Paul's suggestions and left it too late to get anything decent!By the time I was pleading for something stronger than Dentist gas the nazi midwife (actually she was very good in general!) informed me to forget about pain relief and to get on with 'having a baby' ... happily it wasn't long after that our little man arrived!).

It was fantastic to meet our little Joseph and half an hour after his arrival I was already talking about 'next time' (must have been the after effects of the happy gas!) which was really too much for Paul who emphatically stated that the thought was fun and all but he just didn't think he could go through it again - poor guy, must'ave been tough!

Our wonderful friend Lyndsey looked after Bell all Saturday and even bravely took her to church Sunday for us ... so it was Sunday afternoon when she finally met the new addition to our little family!

Meeting the new little man!
