"Keep up Gramps! We're almost there!"
Pretty as a picture!
Wild bush Bell settles very well into her new habitat discovering twigs, cows and ...
FISHING!
Yes and looks like The Gramps keep their watering hole nicely stocked with some prime 'strips of bark'!
The red ants seem to enjoy the water views too!!
"You're not afraid of a few little ants are you Mum?"Poor Bell ... look at that lip!! On our way to The Gramps bush retreat we decided to take advantage of civilisation while we could and stopped off at KFC en route to replenish our supplies ... having spent the morning saying 'goodbye' to the waterslide Bell's hair was still very wet and attempting to get the knots out in the carpark was very hard work with Bell objecting to it at the top of her voice! Then before I knew what she was doing she'd thrown herself at the ground (no doubt expecting me to catch her!) and landed on her mouth ... and yes sadly her front, right tooth has now gone a pretty pearly grey ... no lasting harm done tho and all I can say is thank goodness we get a second set of teeth!
Bell 'helps' Daddy get away from the Ants too!
Jo's loving his seat! Well out of harms way!
The sleepy little town of Stroud... or was it Gloucester?!
After all that climbing some bath time was in order ...
And Daddy hugs really are the very best way to get dry!
The next day was another dawn walk before breakfast (since our little uns seem to have gotten into that wonderful routine!) ... Not a magical, golden, sandy Dawn this time but a beautiful, damp, clingy white Dawn...

And the perfect opportunity for some cow-herding Bell style!

Excellent work! Waving a stick under their nose seems to be the perfect way to get them to 'move off'!
"Ok everyone listen up ... lets go over the essentials ... this ladies is called a 'stick thingy'
"and this obviously ... some kind of drawl spreader ... perfect for all your 'spreading' needs!"
"Mmm anything else I need to tell you about ...?"
"Nope that seems to have covered the important points!"
All dressed and 'made up' ready for a day out with Gramps ... does it get any better than this?!
