Creepy crawlies and other slithery things!

Deciding birds were much too big and scary we thought we'd give the smaller critters a bit of a go (being more our size and all!) and headed to the local Reptile Park!
A couple of cute 'little critters'

Is it just me or does this log have eyes?!

It's no laughing matter Jo-man! You've gotta keep your eyes peeled around here to avoid all sorts of nasty things ...

... like razor sharp teeth!!

"Oh O Mum I think I might have spotted some!"

Isobel loved the place! Couldn't get enough of the bugs and spiders - especially the infamous Sydney funnel web - giant style!

Yes, he's real and no I've no idea what kind of dinosaur he's gonna grow into!

Being a thousand years old would make anyone a little tired!
(we came back ten minutes later and this turtle had shut his mouth, confirming my suspicion that while he might move veeeery slowly he's no rock!)

This Tiger snake was no slow mover though!
...as this intrepid young Steve Irwin wannabe soon found out!
The deadly Australian black snake
And ofcourse no snake show could be complete without the long ...
very long python train!
One of the parks baby crocks struts his stuff.
The latest fashion this Spring ... the snake charmer shawl - I'm not too sure this young male model is very convinced about it's wardrobe appeal tho ...

"Um do you have anything with less teeth?!?" I Do! The in-park swimming pool was strangely off limits despite the very hot morning sun! Watchout Bears! hehehe
Jo takes some tips from his Dad on how to get a better view!Creepy crawlies are just so exhausting ... little Jo's all tuckered out!
But Bell made sure she was still awake for the good stuff!
