Curl Curl is what we Sydneysiders refer to as a 'northern beach' (meaning ofcourse that's its on the north shore of Sydney, it's location is about 5 miles north of Manly and approx. half an hour south of Palm Beach - for the British viewers that's supposedly where Home and Away is shot). Sadly the end we were on was surfless ... so Paul gave up his body boarding for some quality time helping Isobel build sandcastles (thanks to the Elmers who kindly left us their sandcastle gear when they went home to the States)... when I say 'helping' I actually mean Paul building and Bell destroying while keeping a distrustful eye on all that water!

Right so this is how you hold the spade ...

'helping'!!

Building with Dad...

More helpers! Lorence and Jirhet join the building team.

Contemplating the construction ...

More of 'spade'!!

Hanging out with Mum...

Lyndsey, Lorence and Jirhet ... just before they got soaked by a big wave!

Hey Mum this would be super if I could see a bit more of the scenery!

Nope, still no idea what's going on...Mum, is that you?!!

Finally some light! Paul still trying to find that perfect water/sand ratio for sandcastle building...

The foot of doom!

The smaller, chubbier foot of doom!!

Only one of these swim suited people went swimming ... and it wasn't the one who shrieked at the sight of water and went: "Ngngngngngngngngngngng'!

All smiles back in the nice, dry tent away from all that nasty water and sand!

Yup, there's nothing like enjoying the scenery from a safe spot!
