Hazel's Birthday

Friday 6th October found Isobel and I (still in our carless state) on the train to Strathfield to join in Hazel Sung's fourth Birthday celebrations.
Ok Mum you can 'help' open this one too!

It's a tricky business this lighting candles malarky!

Everyone supervisors the cake cutting (or as it was ice cream cake 'scooping')!

Not only did we get to help Hazel eat her cake we also got to catch up with some of our Summer Hillite friends ... and here's one of the newest of them - Havana Jean Hayden-Smith - on the 6th she was only four weeks old but a nice, healthy 4.2 kilos! (For those of you unaquainted with Summer Hill ward her Dad 'Sam' has been mentioned on our blog before ... he played 'Ms Jeeva's assistant' and 'Prime Suspect number ONE' in 'The Empty Case')

Noah Christy ... almost six months and still making all sorts of exciting 'discoveries' ... "Camera!"

Sue and Eric! Eric just had his own first Birthday on Saturday (the 21st Oct) and he's very nearly almost walking which'll be a load off Mum's back!

Isobel captures an escaping birthday balloon ... and contemplates if it's edible!
Due to continued reminders from the Senior Smithies I thought I'd put a couple of piccies of our place up ... unfortunatly I can't post any of the outside till we get a lawnmower!! In the meantime here's the view from the front door ... all those tiles make it lovely and cool downstairs even on the really hot spring days!
A good view of Isobel's racing track from the kitchen.
Strategically taken to hide the washing up (we miss our dishwasher!)
la de da da dum ... and I still haven't reached the end of this thing!
What toilet paper? I've just been standing here brushing my teeth the whole time!
Whatdoyameannecklace? It's a skipping rope isn't it?!
Could it be ... morning nap time???!!
Nope just trying to decide which toy to play with next!
"Mum just doesn't understand I have to raid her jewellery draw cause I've got hardly any toys of my own!"
