So ... as most of our faithful Blog checkers already know Paul had to head off to Munich in late June for a couple of weeks on 'official company business' ... after a tearful farewell at the airport (ok, so that was only me!) Bell seemed to perk up a bit (although still rather unflatteringly disappointed at 6.30 every evening that it was our faithful friend Lara walking through the door from work not Daddy!). All in all we had it under control though ... until Bizzers celebrated her Daddy's absence on Day '4' by braking her arm!
How did this happen you ask?

Well, Tuesday started off pretty well, sunny, warm(ish) and pleasant. We headed over to a friend's place to hang out, eat and let the kid's 'play'. This cute little fella is one of the newer littun's in Summer Hill Ward, his Mum and Dad being over from Utah for a year because of Uni ... so there I was relaxing, eating cake, snapping a few pics (mindful of my promise to Paul to update our Blog regularly!) ...

Letting the kids play (left to right: Havana (10mths), her brother Indy (almost 3), Billy (3.5yrs) and Bell ... when Bell got in the path of a fellow play ground user and took a tumble off that little tiny platform you can see at the top left of the picture ... doesn't look very high does it?!

But it landed Bell in hospital (visit number one of three in the last two weeks!! But that's another story!) with a broken elbow! She actually got to ride in an ambulance to hospital but I don't think it was especially exciting for her since she fell asleep two minutes after being strapped in!
Rehydrating after all the tears of having a cast put on! Poor little Bizzers!

Not to worry though, having a cast didn't keep the little monkey down! There was still plenty she could get up to, like ...
going for a short walk (ok, jog!) around our block!

keeping an eye on the fast growing jungle of our backyard,

making sure the doors upstairs are kept properly shut (gotta keep that heat in!)

and ofcourse clip clopping about elegantly in Mummy's shoes!!

Actually ... a little thing like a broken arm doesn't get in the way of any of the really fun stuff
at all AND you get to eat more chocolate 'cause the grown ups feel bad for you!

Good news is Bell only has to have the cast for two weeks then she gets to take baths without three shopping bags, a plastic glove and a towel wrapped around her arm in a futile attempt to keep it dry (and they make it sound so easy in the hospital pamphlet!).
