While Paul was on the 'Europe' side of the world he popped into the UK for a long weekend (after enduring the 2 hr flight from Munich seated in something far less than 'business class' next to an affectionate German couple who smelt like bubble gum and enjoyed tickling/wrestling bouts!).
It seems the main object of the trip was to shop for Bell but there was still plenty of time to catch up with the family!!
The UK smithies ... Left to right (as related to Paul) Jason (bro), Thomas (nephy), Bebe (Grandma), Michael (Grandad), Paul (as himself), Lin (Mum), John (Pa) ... in a very nice little carvery where they
really heap it on your plate!

Paul's Grandma & Grandad were very happy to see him and catch up on all the Oz goss.

One of the brand new 20 pound notes. For those who haven't done much shopping in the UK, it's an interesting fact that while the 50 pound note is the highest denomination you never EVER see it! I worked in retail over there for 3 years and not once got a glimpse of the coveted note! And if you go into a bank and withdraw a coupla thousand pound they STILL give it to you in 20s (or maybe that was just our dodgy bank!) ... mad aye!

Back at the 'Gramps' newly renovated and lately sold residence! (We can't wait for the legalities to go through so the 'Gramps' can immigrate Oz way ... stay tuned for developments!), Jason and Thomas kickin' back and relaxing.

Thomas! Paul's little nephew turned three last May and has lately recovered from chickenpox which is why his Mum (Helen) and new baby sister (Laura) aren't in these photos, they had to stay away 'cause Laura had recently come out all spotty too, poor little bub!

At Grandma & Pa Woffindale's house. The last stop on a very busy Sunday!
