Fortunately for those of us who have never been to Munich (I don't think half an hour in the train station at 2 in the morning really counts does it?!) Paul also brought back a couple of photos of the highlights of the capital of Bavaria! Here's a few of them...
Bangkok's (ok, so this one isn't Munich!) brand new International airport, pretty funky hey!
Some of the 'ancient' Munich architecture, interestingly Paul says the new buildings that are going up are being built like 'old' buildings too ...
A cool cat

Some 'typical' street scenes ...
Bikes everywhere (apparently!)!!

A very impressive building (Paul has no idea exactly what it was!)
The bunch of people Paul mostly hung out with from his course... at an Indian restaurant (ofcourse!) ... names I remember from left to right, Jamie (from NZ, apparently went to the same Primary school as Paul at the same time but Paul didn't discover that until after his course and Jamie had already left!) Lord Farquat (no he isn't short, Paul just couldn't pronounce his real name), Carol (from Singapore), 'Toblerone' (Switz chap), Ed (from the UK and the only single guy on the course), Silvio (from Brazil), Lady who's name Paul can't remember and Craig (from Sydney). The picture is conspicuously missing 'Moses', 'The Milky Bar Kid', 'Bang Bang' and 'TOSG' ... just a few of the 'nicknames' Paul and his buddies inflicted on the course attendees who didn't hang out with them as much!
A very pretty, small garden near Paul's hotel

And ofcourse no visit to an international city is complete without checking out all the cool statues ... both the old,
and the weird new ones!!
Scary hey! The Munich Re. Building where Paul's course was run.
And ofcourse Paul wouldn't be Paul without making fun of the weird German signs dotted about the city...
Paul's sense of humour again ... not sure if he meant to get the affectionate couple in though!
The beautiful English Gardens (which apparently are the top of the 'to do' list for any Munich tourist).
Paul's ambition (as soon as he snapped this pic) was to copy these gents by taking the plunge asap but unfortunately it rained the whole of the last week he was in the city so noone got a photo of him floating through the middle of the city park!
So ... this was build by an American, as a Chinese monument, in the English garden in Germany!! Crazy hey!

One thing we don't have a picture of which is also a very important sovereign of Paul's stay overseas is the mountains of chocolate he brought home with him! We haven't even made a dent in it yet! He says in summary of his trip that he may not have really learnt anything on the course but hey! that wasn't the point anyway!
