Furry Friends

SO that musical house thing ... I wasn't kidding! Originally we only planned to be down South for a week and in that time we stayed at Nanna's, The Scott's (life long friends - practically family really!), Mums and Shell's. Shell is my wonderful school buddy who against all odds has managed to stay in contact with me over the last 14 years since I left school ... since I'm the worst person ever at 'staying in touch' (even with people I really, truly care about!) the miracle of our surviving friendship can be placed squarely at her door - for which I am truly thankful!

Shelley is now the proud Mum of two beautiful littluns but at the time we stayed with her she still only had the one (in fact wasn't even pregnant - how behind is my blogging?!!). Little Ryan and Bell developed an instantaneous love, hate relationship and enjoyed each others company immensely!

Bell also shaped him up for his future-big-brother role with some excellent tips on how to be a model-big-sister!

"Pinned him again Mum! He ain't goin' nowhere with that door key!"
Sleepin' in style!
The beautiful bassinet Shell lent little Jo for his stay ...
A great way to wake up to any day!
Shell and I have a tradition of visiting a certain animal park not too far from Richmond ... we seem to have started it way before we actually had any kids (which is a bit of a worry!) but this time we had an adequate excuse (or two!).
And as it turned out our 'excuses' had
an awesome time terrorizing the furry, four legged in-mates!
"Hey Mum you reckon you could do my hair like this if we had a bit of moose?!"
"One at a time please ladies!"
"Yikes Mum! I thought that thing was stuffed! Get me outta here before it wakes up properly!!"
"... so this is what a 'pig sty' looks like ..."
Shell and I exchanged smug smirks as we drove home ... we'd gotten exactly what we were after!!
