Santa's Workshop

Wow! This is the most massive Blog ever!! I really have to apologise for ALL the photos but the Christmas party was my second baby for a month (and took much more work than the one I have to get up at night to feed!) and I'm inclined to think that if it wasn't for Kim and Brad's timely arrival on our doorstep the week before the grand event I'd never have been able to get it all together in time! But with Brad's expert star cutting out and Kim's peerless sign-making techniques we got there in the end!

Bizzers the red nosed reindeer (helping out with last minute set up)!

Ta Da! (check out Brad's mathematically perfect star!)
Jo's first Santa cuddle
More cuddling up to the woolly man!

The Aussie way Santa gets around!
Ahhhh!
Santa's real helpers!
Some happy reindeer!
Santa's post office ... complete (thanks to Sis Conlon's genius) with ten foot candy canes!
We also decorated our main Christmas tree with photos of the families in the ward, a wonderful idea Sister Elmer let drop during her mission which I liked so much I had to copy! Thanks Sis E. the ward loved it!

'Dear Santa ...'
We had enormous fun that night 'sorting' Santa's letters for him, kids are great!
Mrs Claus kitchen
Yes! The lolly pops on the gingerbread man are real ... and yes they did mysteriously vanish at the end of the night, along with the glued on face sweets (someone must have had a serious sore tummy that night!)
The gingerbread man tree!

Ofcourse Santa's Workshop couldn't be complete without ...
Santa;
Elves;
other 'little' helpers;

Baby holders;
(We love you Jess! You're the best Joseph holder out!)
Thong trees (... it's an Aussie thing!);
Moses?!
and Captain Moroni!!
And last but definitely not least (the moment you've all been waiting for ...)
Snowmen!!
It worked!!!
(although ever so slightly strategically balanced!)
Hey! The Young Men had the same stroke of genius ... in miniature!
The 'Elf workshop'
'You know Mum that really looks nothing like silas-the-mad-monk, what I really need is some top tips from those chocolate-loaf-decorating-experts!'

And to end some 'jolly caroling!'

(and dancing)

Contemplating the specialness of Christmas!
Did we do good? Or did we do good! (this one's for you Canadians!)

WE LOVE IT, GUYS!!
FABULOUS! 10 out of 10 for the snowman (you'd never know it was fake???).
We are going to suggest an "Aussie Christmas" at church for this year..though I have a feeling that surf boards and flip flops may be a hard sell!!
Love Jane and Chris
